BlueSky Mast

Elevating Solutions

Designed for durability, portability, & rapid deployment

why BlueSky Mast

More than just an antenna mast.

BlueSky Mast offers modular, tripod-based tactical mast systems that deliver rapidly deployable, vehicle-independent elevation for communications, surveillance, and sensing payloads from 2 to 18 meters. They support everything from lightweight antennas to heavy multi-sensor military systems. All BlueSky Mast systems use patented tripod-based, sectional masts that pack down to a compact footprint, eliminating the need for vehicles, trailers, shelters, or fixed structures, making transport and field deployment faster and easier.

The masts use interlocking sections of lightweight aerospace-grade aluminum alloy with roughly twice the yield strength of conventional aluminum, providing superior durability and stiffness compared to composite mast alternatives—ideal for demanding defense, public safety, and critical communications applications.BlueSky Mast systems payload ranging from approximately 30–50 lbs at 10 meters in the lighter series up to 175 lbs at 5 meters in the heavy 350 Lift Series.

BlueSky Mast’s modular design, including interchangeable sections, guy rings, and top adapters, supports multi-mission use and simultaneous deployment of multiple devices on a single mast, improving flexibility for RF, EO/IR, and networking gear. Interlocking sections and free-spinning guy rings enable full 360-degree manual rotation at the tripod base, even when guyed, allowing precise antenna or sensor alignment without disassembly and maximizing coverage, link quality, and situational awareness.

Find your mast

Your payload is the mission. We get it up there.

Three questions: how much does your payload weigh, how high does it need to go, and do you carry it in or does it ride on a vehicle?

  1. Payload weight. Find the column that carries it at your height.
  2. Height. Read across the row for the height you need.
  3. How it moves. Carried in: pick a tripod series. On a vehicle: FM Series or MecMast Series, sized to your vehicle.

200 Lift Series - AL2

Winch-raised tripod mast, 2 to 15 m
A lightweight tactical mast with a fast mechanical lift system for heavier payloads.
The 200 Lift Series - AL2 pairs a stronger tripod with a self-braking mechanical winch that raises the mast sections, for a more controlled, easier and safer deployment than a manual push-up system. It is used for tactical RF communications, video surveillance, weather stations and wireless data payloads.

200 Standard Series - AL2

Push-up tripod mast for heavier payloads, 2 to 10 m
Built for portability and rapid deployment, with the strength for heavier payloads.
The 200 Standard Series - AL2 is a lightweight, versatile manual push-up mast with a patented cam lock tripod and 2 in. OD interlocking aluminum alloy sections. With model heights from 2 to 10 m and payloads from 50 to 100 lbs, it gives ground forces a reliable, rapidly deployable platform for video surveillance, tactical RF communications, HF long-wire antennas and hybrid payloads in austere environments.

200 Sidekick Series - AL2

Airline-checkable 2 m tripod mast
A man-portable, airline-checkable tripod mast for C-UAS sensors, EW and expeditionary communications.
The 200 Sidekick Series - AL2 is the newest and most compact member of the BlueSky Mast line, built on more than 20 years of fielding tactical ground-based masts for the defense market. It uses the same tool-less mounting accessories as the larger BlueSky Mast systems, so the payload interfaces your teams already own carry straight over.

200 Standard Series - AL1

Lightest push-up tripod mast, 2 to 10 m
Ultralight, man-portable push-up mast for single antennas and lightning protection.
The 200 Standard Series - AL1 is the lightest and most portable BlueSky Mast push-up system. It supports payloads from 30 lbs at 10 m up to 50 lbs at 2 m, and one person can deploy it in 2 to 15 minutes depending on height. It is used mainly for lightweight payloads such as single-antenna deployments and lightning protection systems.

BlueSky Telescoping Masts

FM Series telescoping mast with a camera on a support vehicle

FM Series

Winch-driven vehicle and trailer mast
Rugged, nearly maintenance-free telescoping masts that put cameras, sensors and antennas up high on vehicles, trailers and fixed sites.

MEC Series

Electromechanical vehicle mast, up to 25 m
Screw-driven electromechanical masts that lift heavy payloads with precise, repeatable positioning, and stay extended on the move.

Ground. Vehicle. Trailer. If it needs height, we've built the mast.

Five tripod series you carry in and set up anywhere. Two telescoping series that ride the vehicle or the trailer. Pick the platform. We'll match the mast.

Let's find your solution.

Every configuration comes down to three things: how high you need to go, how much your payload weighs, and whether one person or a crew deploys it. Tell us the payload and the mission, and a mast specialist will come back to you fast with the right configuration and a quote. Let's find your solution so we can get started.
